SeatChartBase is a free set of browser tools for wedding seating charts, guest lists, and rough budget splits. Built for couples — and the relatives helping them — who need names on tables before Friday, not another marketplace account that asks for an email before you can drag Uncle Ray to table 4.

You add or paste guests, make tables, assign seats, leave a visible unassigned pool, then export CSV or print. Budget pages take a total you already have in mind, split it into venue / catering / photo and the rest with editable percentages dated 2026-07, and let you export a simple sheet. Math and arrangement run in your browser. No signup wall. No venue lead form.

Who shows up

People with a venue deadline, a guest list in three formats, and no patience for “create an account to continue.” Kitchen-table nights where two Mikes keep collapsing into one row. Parents who volunteered to “just put names on tables” and then discovered half the +1s still have no names. Couples who want a dollar-cap sketch before the florist’s quote arrives — not a national “average wedding cost” lecture.

If your venue already sent a locked floor plan with dance-floor clearance and you only need who sits where, you are in the right place. If you need scaled ballroom CAD or a planner who books vendors, you are not — ask the venue for their diagram, then use our chart for the people layer.

What we do not do

• No RSVP email blasts or guest messaging
• No classroom / theater seating product (that is a different site)
• No scaled ballroom CAD, fire-code simulation, or sightline checks
• No vendor quotes disguised as national averages

Budget numbers are planning estimates only — not vendor quotes. Seating tools help you arrange guests; they are not a venue floor-plan CAD service or a wedding planner contract.
