Terms of use
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of SeatChartBase (the site, tools, copy, and related pages). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Budget numbers are planning estimates only — not vendor quotes. Seating tools help you arrange guests; they are not a venue floor-plan CAD service or a wedding planner contract.
What this site is
SeatChartBase provides free browser tools that help you draft seating charts, guest lists, and budget category splits. Outputs are planning aids. They are not vendor quotes, venue contracts, fire-code approvals, catering tickets, or a substitute for a hired wedding planner.
Using this site does not create a professional, advisory, fiduciary, or planner relationship between you and SeatChartBase or its operators.
Charts and budgets can be wrong
Seating defaults (table size, one person per seat) are editable starting points — see methodology. They do not know your venue's pillars, dance floor, kids-on-laps policy, or who the coordinator wants on the printed door list. Budget defaults are a US-style percentage sketch dated 2026-07; they are not national statistics and not a bid.
You are responsible for verifying headcounts, meal counts, accessibility needs, and dollar amounts with your venue and vendors before you sign anything. If a written vendor quote or venue diagram disagrees with this site, trust the people running the room.
Your decisions are yours
Any seating assignment, guest cut, vendor hire, or budget choice you make after using SeatChartBase is yours alone. We do not recommend specific venues, planners, or vendors. We do not promise that a chart satisfies fire code, sightlines, catering minimums, or family politics.
No warranties
The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, pause, or remove tools or default percentages at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeatChartBase and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site — including but not limited to:
- Awkward seating, missed +1s, or last-minute chart changes
- Budget overruns based on a percentage sketch
- Vendor or venue disagreements about headcount or meal counts
- Fire code, accessibility, or floor-plan compliance problems
- Data loss on your device, downtime, or third-party analytics behavior
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
If a page has a wrong default or a bug, tell us via contact. We may fix defects when we can; that does not mean we underwrite your wedding or accept liability for decisions you already made.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us specifically to use SeatChartBase in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0 for free use) or (b) USD $50, to the extent such a limit is enforceable.
Acceptable use
- Use the tools for personal wedding or similar event planning
- Do not scrape, overload, or automate the site in a way that harms availability or other users
- Do not misrepresent SeatChartBase as a venue, planner agency, or CAD firm
- Do not use the site to harass, spam, phish, or break applicable law
- Do not reverse-engineer or republish substantial site content as your own commercial product without permission
Privacy
Tool math is designed to run in your browser. How we handle analytics, ads, and email you send us is described in privacy. That policy works alongside these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree, stop using the site.
