When to use
Invitations are out (or nearly); you have a rough headcount; the coordinator asked for a chart; family sides need a visible split without a cold-war vibe.
When not to
You are still cutting the invite list by forty people — finish how to organize a wedding guest list first. You need ceremony pew order more than dinner tables → ceremony landing in batch 2. You only want a DIY mirror craft — not this product.
Assumptions
Reception dining seating by default. Couple's table can be labeled sweetheart or head — still just a table object. Currency and budget are separate tools on this site.
Worked examples
Input: Partner A family 40, Partner B family 40, friends 30; 11 tables of 10.
Output: family-heavy tables labeled by household where it helps; friends tables mixed.
You do not owe strangers a perfect balanced energy — you owe them a chair.
Input: Late RSVP yes from three people; one table was full.
Output: bump two flexible friends to a newly opened seat pair; re-export CSV for the venue.

How it works
- Same flow as the generator: guests → tables → assign → export.
- Prefer starting from an imported guest list template if your names already live in Sheets.
Common traps
- Divorced parents and new partners — ask once, privately; do not debate it in the group chat attached to the chart.
- Kids' table vs kids at adult tables — venues differ on high chairs and meal counts; match their rules, not Instagram.
- Open seating still needs a plan for headcount and meals; a chart can be loose clusters if you want, but the kitchen still needs numbers.
- Display chart ≠ working chart. The pretty board at the door can be alphabetical; your working file can stay by table.
