Wedding table layout
A wedding table layout starts with how many tables and how many seats — then names. Set capacities (rounds of 8–10 are common), place guests, export for the coordinator. We will not place dance floors or pillars. Ask the venue for the scaled sketch; use this for who sits where.

Seating tools help you arrange guests — not a venue floor-plan CAD service or a wedding planner contract.
When to use — and when not to
When to use
You are choosing rounds vs mixed sizes; you need a seat-count plan; the room holds a known table count.
When not to
You need AutoCAD of the ballroom → venue. Rectangle-long-table focus → rectangle layout page.
Assumptions
Default rounds; capacities editable. Layout here means table objects + assignments, not floor CAD.
Worked examples
Input: 12 rounds of 8 + sweetheart of 2.
Output: 98 seats if filled; label sweetheart.
Empty seats on purpose beat hostile crams.
Input: mix 8s and 10s for a weird room.
Output: capacities differ by table; pool clears.
Tell catering the mix — meals follow seats.
How it works
- Confirm table count with the venue.
- Set seats per table on the board.
- Assign guests.
- Export CSV / print.
Common traps
- Layout boards on Pinterest are décor, not headcount math.
- Fire code and dance-floor clearance are the venue's diagram.
- Changing layout last week means regenerating seats and meals.
- Kids' tables still count toward venue maximums.

Ask the venue what fits. Then set those capacities here and seat people.
