Printable wedding seating chart

A printable wedding seating chart is only useful if the names are right. Assign seats first, then print the board or an A–Z find-your-seat list for the entrance. Skip the watermarked template packs. Finish the assignments, hit print.

Seating tools help you arrange guests — not a venue floor-plan CAD service or a wedding planner contract.

When to use — and when not to

When to use

The venue wants a paper copy; you need a door list tonight; you are done rearranging on screen.

When not to

You still have twenty unassigned guests — finish placement first. You want a craft mirror to hang — buy décor elsewhere.

Assumptions

Browser print dialog. For crisp door lists, A–Z CSV into Sheets often looks cleaner than a screenshot.

Worked examples

Input: finalized 11 tables; print for rehearsal dinner check.

Output: paper chart for the planner binder.

Write v3-Friday on the corner so Tuesday dies quietly.

Input: A–Z export for escort-card table.

Output: alphabetical printout at the door.

Working file can stay by table.

How it works

  1. Finalize assignments on the board.
  2. Use Print, or export A–Z / by-table CSV and print from Sheets.
  3. Label the paper with a date/version.
  4. Reprint when late RSVPs move two seats.

Common traps

  • Printing a half-finished chart freezes bad decisions on paper.
  • Phone print previews crop wide boards — use CSV → Sheets on desktop when possible.
  • Display chart and meal chart must match the same version.
  • Do not laminate until RSVPs are truly done.
